SEC Compliance

As required by SEC rules regulating auditors who assist publicly traded companies, Sherb & Co., LLP is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and performs audits of publicly-held companies in accordance with guidelines established by the SEC and the PCAOB.

Companies subject to SEC reporting have to comply with a tremendous amount of complex regulations and numerous unpublished administrative positions. As the audit firm for more than 90 publicly traded companies, Sherb & Co., LLP has extensive experience in assisting businesses with their initial SEC filings and guiding them through the complex process of becoming a fully reportable and actively traded public company. Our extensive experience with and understanding of SEC requirements enables us to respond quickly to client questions that arise from the many SEC rules and regulations.

Our Audit Approach

When it comes to auditing closely-held businesses, our A & A Group applies a "constructive approach" to auditing. This means that after acquiring an intimate knowledge of our clients' financial and administrative strengths and weaknesses, we recommend improvements to help improve the efficiency of their business operations, create a stronger financial structure, and enhance their overall accounting and administrative controls.

A constructive approach to auditing means tailoring the application of authoritative knowledge with practical business solutions in achieving specific audit goals and objectives without ignoring the value-added component of the client/auditor relationship.
